Seminar Title
"The Golden Approach for Overcoming Bio-Barriers: Delivering Nanomedicine to Brain and Beyond"
Seminar Overview
Overcoming biological barriers, particularly those surrounding tumors and the brain, remains one of the greatest challenges in modern drug delivery. During the seminar, Prof. Popovtzer presented cutting-edge research demonstrating how gold nanoparticles can serve as highly effective nanomedicine platforms due to their biocompatibility, unique physicochemical properties, and excellent imaging capabilities.
The lecture highlighted novel approaches for using naturally coated gold nanoparticles to cross the blood–brain barrier, selectively target tumors, improve immunotherapy, and provide rapid image-guided disease stratification. The presentation illustrated the growing potential of nanotechnology to advance precision medicine and targeted cancer therapies.
